What Do You Know About Google Glass?

So far, all we know about Google Glass is that they are a set of futuristic, Internet-connected glasses that display digital information, projected over the physical world through fancy eye wear.

But today, we got our first look at the newest product from Google, which launched a new website and series of videos which show off the glasses.

For a better look at the glasses, check out the video below:

As you can see in the video, the glasses are controlled by voice, allowing recording of a video or searching for photos. Glass is navigated by a 3D navigation view in the corner. More details will come in the following months, but for now, what do you think? Would you wear these glasses?

  1. One thing that would be totally useful on those is face recognition. It sees a face, it looks for it on Facebook and identifies it. Peechtival!

  2. cool, but it would be cool if it could have nonverbal commands (e.g. wink twice right eye to open camera, wink left to take video, blink to take picture, blink twice to close camera) This would obviously have some way to be disabled.

  3. Those are really cool! Although, just like gnfbcghh said, it would be creepy if they could be hacked. I wonder if they r working on that?

  4. I can’t wait, but they are gonna be very expensive, somewhere around $12,000 and $15,000, so it’s not exactly on my Christmas list:)

  5. Actually, they only cost $1200-$1600. I’ve used a pair and tbh… not worth the price. They don’t do anything a smartphone couldn’t do and they’re way too expensive. They’re also rather flimsy. I would rather have a smartphone, a GoPro, and save all that money.

  6. Also they don’t stay on your head well enough for most of the things happening in the video. They fall off just like normal glasses.
