Never forget. Sept. 11 is Patriot Day, honoring those killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
The attacks killed nearly 3,000 people and injured more than 6,000 others when four planes were crashed into the two World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.
