Imagine never having to worry about finding clean, drinkable water sources in the wild again. That’s the idea behind Fontus, a revolutionary new water bottle that extracts humidity from the air and transforms it into clean, drinkable water.
Fontus can be attached to bikes during lengthy rides, strapped to your backpack or simply set up at your campsite. How does it work? As air flows into the bottle, it hits a series of water-repelling surfaces that cause water droplets to form inside. In just an hour you’ll have a half-liter of water. There’s also a filter that keeps dust, bugs and other debris out.
For now, Fontus is still in the testing phase, but you can expect to see the self-filling water bottle in stores by 2020. Click here to learn more.
