Meet Wendy, the Newest Triceratops

Wendiceratops is the 20-foot-long, one-ton cousin of the Triceratops that lived nearly 80 million years ago. The new species was recently discovered by Wendy Sloboda, a Canadian fossil hunter who the new dino is named for.

The species looks a lot like the Triceratops, but “Wendy” lived roughly 10 million years earlier. Specifically, Wendy’s forward-leaning horns help paleontologists understand the evolution in many other species of dinosaurs.
