Check Out the Epic Trailer For ‘The Maze Runner’

After waiting for months, The Maze Runner trailer is here.

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name, The Maze Runner is one of my favorite young adult books of the last five years. Here’s the gist of the story:

When Thomas wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape.

It’s a scary, adventurous, thrilling, mysterious, edge-of-your-seat thriller that will not disappoint. That said, the movie — and the book — are for older audiences. I recommend the book only for kids 12 and older. If you’re wondering whether you’re ready to tackle the book, visit Common Sense Media first to learn more about the book. Or feel free to ask me any questions in the comments section.

And the movie will likely be rated PG-13 for violence, and some mild language. Even so, aside from some scary moments, the trailer is approved for all audiences.

What do you think of the first trailer?

  1. This guy wrote the Thirteenth Reality too, and I heard a lot about these books. If I can only get them, then I want to see this!

  2. I changed my mind. If it’s different than the books, than it might be good, but I read the review on the link Clay posted, and it might not be as good as I thought.

  3. I think this movie will be epic, just like the book. Well see what Thomas does different. I loved the book, Ben, Alby, Newt,Teresa, Chuck, and most of all, Thomas. What a thrilling book. I think i’ve been shucked and sent to heaven.

  4. Hey Clay, could you maybe do an article about Divergent?

  5. O yeah, so I can get it. Thank you clay swarts. And I’ve been looking into it, and it does look awesome, or everything is awesome :P.

  6. I have read the Maze Runner series. The organization in the book isn’t called W.C.K.D, it’s called W.I.C.K.E.D, which stands for “World In Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department”. I won’t tell you anything more. It’s a great series. I watched the trailer, and it really reflected what happened in the book. James Dashner (the author) wrote these books with much skill and I loved them.

  7. The movie is rated fo intense sequences of action violence and language. And when it comes to the books I recomend for 12 and up because of intence sequences of violence and some disturbing parts. I also recomend that you stick with rhe first book till youre 13 because the 2 and 3 have love and kind of weird sequences, but were well done.
