This Is The World’s Biggest Mirror

You’re looking at the flattest place on Earth, the Salar de Uyuni basin, acting as the world’s biggest reflective surface.

The Salar de Uyuni forms at the endpoints of a couple of major rivers, and the rivers deposit salt into the basin, giving it a salty crust almost 10 feet thick. But the salt alone isn’t what makes the magic happen.

As water from the surrounding rivers pours into the basin a perfect glassy, reflective mirror forms. Take a look at a few mind-blowing photos of the mirror below:
