The Half-Chopper, Half-Eagle Robot

We’ve posted some really fun robot videos in the past, but this brand-new flying robot may be the best.

Scientists at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia have recently created a drone helicopter that can imitate the actions of a Bald eagle, namely scooping fish straight out of the water.

Watch it in action below:

This quadrotor drone has four spinning blades, much like a mini-helicopter. The extra rotors help to balance and stabilize. Quadrotors can carry heavy payloads, reach unreachable places and even play catch. So, imitating a bald eagle just adds another impressive set of abilities. Drones with this technology could soon be used for construction and military projects.
