It’s been almost seven years since we last saw Superman on the big screen in ‘Superman Returns,’ but we won’t have to wait much longer for Clark Kent’s return. In 2013, ‘Man of Steel’ hits theaters, and we can’t be more excited.
The creative team behind ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy brings us a new look at Superman, and based on the early images and video, this is going to be an epic movie.
Official Synopsis:
Clark Kent is a journalist in his twenties who was adopted as a child by Jonathan and Martha Kent after he was transported to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton. Raised with the values of his adoptive parents, he feels alienated because of his unique super abilities and struggles to find his own place in life. When the world is attacked, he becomes the hero named Superman to protect the Earth and its people.

We’re still not sure exactly what happens in the new movie, but based on the poster below, it looks like Superman is in trouble.
The new film hits theaters in June 2013.
(Note: Director Christopher Nolan will be producing the film, directing duties go to Zack Snyder of Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole fame.)
