The Boxtrolls was one of the best animated movies of 2014. Sure, it was fun, funny and completely unique, but for me, the most impressive part of The Boxtrolls was the stop-motion animation.
It’s easy to overlook, because it’s done so well, but every single movement of each character in the movie is manipulated by actual animators. Take a look behind the scenes:

Wow, i never saw the boxtrolls because some of the movies its producers had made earlier (the nightmare before christmas , Coraline and Paranorman) weren’t worth the money, but now i HAVE to see it.
