The Coolest Image From The Geminid Meteor Shower

Hopefully you got a chance to see some of the big Geminid Meteor Shower on Dec. 14. It was a terrific display of shooting stars, and according to experts it was better than expected.

While there are hundreds of cool images around the internet, showing cool shooting stars, we’ve found our favorite. It’s a photo from NASA that was captured by the International Space Station of a shooting star as it crashes through Earth’s atmosphere. This is a unique angle, as we normally see the shooting stars from below.
